Pay Per View Record Service

| Irish World, along with the other centers who are members of the Irish Family History Foundation, plan to have their records online during 2007. The system to be used will be pay per view, and it is hoped this will enhance access to our Irish Roots.

Gravestone Inscriptions Database
|

| Gravestones can yield much valuable information on our forebears, and Irish World has the largest database of gravestone inscriptions in Ireland. The survey of gravestone inscriptions was compiled over 15 years from 1986-2000, and encompasses nearly 800 cemeteries. The majority of these are within the six counties of Northern Ireland, although there are also some from the adjacent Ulster counties of Donegal and Monaghan, as well as from Louth.
Irish World intends soon to make available an on-line consultation service for its gravestone inscriptions database. Users will be able to log on and consult the records on a pay-per-view basis. Irish World hopes that the many millions worldwide with Irish roots will be able to avail of yet another resource in discovering the path to their Irish roots. |
